Pune Man Killed After Argument Over Food Plate Sharing, Five Accused Named

Pune: A young man was beaten to death in Pune's Sinhagad Road area after a quarrel escalated over food sharing following a drinking session.

The incident occurred at midnight on Sunday, October 13, when 21-year-old Aditya Ghorpade was brutally attacked with bamboo sticks and stones by a group of five individuals. Police have filed a case against the attackers, who include Akash alias Nanya Pardeshi and his stepbrother Suresh Shukla.

According to the police, Aditya Ghorpade and his friends had gone to Galaxy Resto Bar in Narhe to drink alcohol. After drinking, they ordered food.

While eating, Akash started taking food from Aditya's plate. Aditya asked him, "Why are you eating from my plate?" Both of them were intoxicated, and a quarrel ensued. Akash then left the place. Later, when Aditya and his friends finished their meal and left the bar, Akash and his friends confronted Aditya in front of Trimurti Grocery Store around 1 AM.

Akash and his accomplices brutally beat Aditya with bamboo sticks and smashed a stone on his head. Aditya was critically injured in the attack and was immediately rushed to the hospital, but he was declared dead before treatment could begin.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sambhaji Kadam, Amol Zhende, Nikhil Pingale, Assistant Commissioner Ajay Parmar, Sainath Thombre, Senior Police Inspector Raghvendra Singh Kshirsagar, and Crime Inspector Atul Bhos visited the scene.

The police are searching for the absconding accused, and Inspector Bhos is leading the investigation.
