Pune Metro has successfully addressed 19 out of the 25 complaints filed through the ToiletSeva app, according to the latest update from the metro management.

The app, which was launched on June 20, 2024, by MahaMetro’s Managing Director Shravan Hardikar (IAS) and Amol Bhinge from ToiletSeva, allows users to report issues related to cleanliness, water availability, and maintenance of restrooms at Pune Metro stations.

Commuters can now access information about the toilets at Pune Metro's 23 stations directly through the app. The platform has enabled a "closed-loop accountability mechanism" for government-owned, out-of-home toilets, a first-of-its-kind initiative on a third-party technology platform.

Bhinge said, "For instance, all three issues reported at Vanaz Metro Station have been resolved. Though these numbers may seem small, this is a positive and hopeful beginning. For the first time, a "closed-loop accountability mechanism" for "Government-owned, out-of-home toilets" has been made available on a "third-party technology platform."

"Congratulations and heartfelt thanks to the Pune Metro team for undertaking and successfully completing such an innovative initiative. After traveling on Pune Metro and using the station restrooms, be sure to scan the QR code sticker in the ToiletSeva app and provide your feedback," Bhinge appealed to Pune Metro riders.
