Pune: In response to the recent assault incident in Badlapur, Pune Police have convened a meeting with representatives from schools and colleges across the city.

The schedule meeting will focus on enhancing security measures within educational institutions, ensuring the safety of students, and reviewing the protocols followed by drivers transporting students.

In Kolkata, a young female doctor was assaulted and murdered. While the incident in Kolkata is still fresh, another incident of a girl being assaulted in a school in Badlapur has come to light.

The Badlapur incident has sparked outrage across the state. Following this, questions about the security in schools and colleges have been raised. The state government has issued directives to the school and college administrations. The police have also provided guidelines on security measures.

Pune Police have scheduled a meeting on August 29 with the principals and headmasters of all schools and colleges in the city. Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, along with senior police officials, will be present at the meeting, as well as school and college principals, representatives, and officials from the education department.

The meeting will review the security arrangements in schools and colleges and discuss the measures to be taken.

A few days back, the Vimantal police intensified their efforts to prevent such incidents in Viman Nagar, Wadgaon Sheri. The local police are conducting awareness programs and workshops on "Good Touch, Bad Touch" in schools. They are also reviewing the safety measures in and around school premises to ensure the protection of students.
