The first case involves a 14-year-old girl from Sangamwadi, who left her home on Sunday (September 29) evening around dusk to buy vegetables from a nearby market.

When she did not return home within a reasonable time, her worried family began searching the area. Despite extensive efforts, they could not locate her.

The girl's father then lodged a formal complaint at the Yerawada Police Station late in the evening. Authorities promptly registered a case and have launched an investigation, deploying teams to trace the missing girl.

In a similar incident reported the same day, a 17-year-old girl from Kondhwa Budruk informed her family that she was attending a friend's birthday party at a residence in Upper Indiranagar.

She left for the party but did not return home as expected. After hours of waiting and failed attempts to contact her, her parents reported her missing to the Bibwewadi Police Station.

Investigators from both Yerawada and Bibwewadi police stations are working in coordination to determine if the two cases are linked or if separate incidents of abduction are involved.
