Pune: A stockbroker was kidnapped and a ransom of ₹1 crore was demanded after the kidnappers suffered losses in the stock market. The police have arrested three individuals from Amravati, and the stockbroker has been safely rescued.

Dr. Suhas Bhamburkar, Bhushan Tayade, and Alpesh Gudde (all residents of Amravati) have been arrested in connection with the crime. The complaint was filed at the Yerawada police station by a relative of the stockbroker.

The complainant's cousin is a stockbroker who had facilitated the accused in investing ₹50 lakhs. After incurring losses in the stock market, the accused blamed the broker and demanded additional money from him.

On Monday, July 15, the accused called the broker to meet them at a private parking lot in Sangamwadi around 12:30 AM. They threatened him, forced him into a car at knifepoint, and kidnapped him, taking him to Amravati.

From there, the accused contacted the broker's relatives and demanded a ransom of ₹1 crore for his release. The broker’s family immediately reported the incident to the police.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijaykumar Magar directed the Yerawada police to investigate. Under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Kumar Shelke and Assistant Inspector Amar Kadam, the police arrested the three accused in Amravati and safely rescued the stockbroker.
