Over the past 24 hours, the Mulshi Dam area has experienced record-breaking rainfall, with Tamhini receiving 556 mm of rain. This extreme weather has caused trees to fall and roads to close in various locations.

The landslide caused rocks and mud to flow onto the road and buried a nearby hotel, resulting in one fatality and one injury. Efforts are underway to clear the road and resume traffic.

The heavy rainfall has led to multiple incidents of fallen trees and road closures. The landslide at Adarwadi at 2:30 AM saw a large section of the mountain collapse, causing rocks, mud, and debris to bury the road and the nearby 'Picnic Hotel.'

Due to the road closure, the administration is working on clearing the landslide debris on a war footing. It is estimated that it will take about five hours to restore traffic.

Sub-Divisional Officer Surendra Navale, Tehsildar Ranjit Bhosale, and Police Inspector Manojkumar Yadav are making efforts for immediate assistance.
