Pune: Investigations revealed that a drug supplier from Pune provided mephedrone to young individuals at a party held at L3 Bar on Fergusson College (FC) Road. The police are currently on the lookout for this supplier, according to Sandeep Singh Gill, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone I). Investigation has also revealed that a group named 'Pune Vibes' was created on social media for the attendees of the L3 Bar party.

A video surfaced showing young attendees consuming drugs at the L3 Bar party. Following this, a police team conducted a raid, arresting the bar owner along with eight other individuals.

Among those arrested were Nitin Thombre and Karan Mishra, who were found consuming mephedrone at the party. To date, ten people have been arrested in connection with this case.

Investigations have revealed that Thombre and Mishra purchased the mephedrone from a supplier in Pune, and efforts are ongoing to locate this dealer, DCP Gill stated.

The police have also tracked down nine other young attendees of the L3 Bar party and recorded their statements. The Crime Branch is conducting a parallel investigation into the matter.

Police have also added additional relevant sections under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in this case.

Social Media Promotion

Following the Kalyaninagar accident case, police ordered pub owners to close their establishments by 12:30 AM. Despite these directives, some individuals continue to organize "late-night parties," advertising them via social media.

One such party was held at Cult Pub on Saturday night, where an announcement for the late-night party at L3 Bar was made by Kamthe through a loudspeaker.

A group named "Pune Vibes" was created on social media for the attendees of the L3 Bar party. Payments for these late-night parties were accepted both online and in cash.
