Pune: Two teachers in Purandar taluka are facing legal action for physically assaulting students.

In one case, a math teacher at Waghire High School, Saswad, slapped a fifth-grade student, causing injury to his ear. The student's father has lodged a formal complaint, and police are investigating.

This incident occurred at Waghire High School in Saswad. The student's father has formally lodged a complaint at the Saswad police station.

According to the police, a case has been registered against math teacher Ganesh Pathak. Advocate Santosh Kachare's son is a fifth-grade student at the school.

On Tuesday, July 23, the student went to school as usual. The teacher asked the students to take out their math notebooks, but when the student said he had left his notebook at home, the teacher slapped him on the left ear.

The parents noticed that the child's ear was hurting, and he was unable to hear. Experts have advised that he may require surgery. Consequently, Kachare filed a complaint with the Saswad police.

Case against Teacher at Dive Gurukul School

A case has also been registered against Mandar Shaharkar, a teacher at Shriram Gurukul School in Dive (Purandar taluka), for beating a young student with a bamboo stick on the back and legs.

Despite the need to care for and look after the children, the teacher assaulted the student for fighting. Inspector Rishikesh Adhikari of Saswad police station is investigating the matter.
