Pune: Despite eight days passing since the incident of an abandoned patient at Sassoon Hospital, no action has been taken against those responsible. Dean Eknath Pawar had established a three-tier committee to investigate the matter, but the committee's report remains pending.

Ritesh Gaikwad and Dada Gaikwad have made multiple attempts to meet Dean Eknath Pawar regarding the case but were unsuccessful. The investigation appears to be stalled due to the lack of impartiality.

Allegations Against Yallappa Jadhav Remain Unaddressed

Orthopedics Department Head and Medical Superintendent Yallappa Jadhav has not faced any action despite allegations that Dean Eknath Pawar is shielding him. MLA Ravindra Dhangekar had instructed the dean to suspend the doctor involved, but no substantial action has been taken.

Doctors Aggressive

Following action against Dr. Aadi Kumar, other doctors at Sassoon Hospital have expressed their aggression. It is suggested that the heads of the Orthopedics Department, Social Services Department, and Medical Superintendent bear responsibility for the incident.

No action has been taken against Medical Superintendent Yallappa Jadhav, and Dean Eknath Pawar is accused of avoiding necessary actions. An impartial investigation into the case seems unlikely.

Meanwhile, Ritesh Gaikwad and Dada Gaikwad have sent a letter demanding an impartial investigation and stringent action against those at fault.

Nilesh Hinavati (32) from Madhya Pradesh, the patient who was allegedly abandoned by doctors from Sassoon Hospital, was a victim of a hit-and-run accident at Dange Chowk.

He was brought to Sassoon in an ambulance provided by the 108 emergency medical service. His life was saved through surgery performed on the same day.

A second surgery was performed on June 27. While his condition was improving, the patient was requesting to be discharged, according to the hospital administration.
