Pune: A schoolboy who fell into the Mutha River near Pune Hospital on Monday evening remains missing as of late Wednesday night. Despite a three-day search operation by the police and fire brigade, there has been no trace of the boy.
Surprisingly, no parents have come forward to file a missing person report, and local schools have reported no students absent.
On Monday evening, a schoolboy was sitting on the railing of the bridge near Pune Hospital. Around 5:30 PM, he suddenly fell into the river. A citizen informed the police control room about the incident and also circulated a video on social media.
Following this, the police and fire brigade personnel conducted a search operation. The search continued until late Wednesday night, covering areas like Municipal Corporation Building, Dengale Bridge, and Sangam Bridge. However, the boy has not yet been found, according to the police.
Unable to Contact Informant
The police tried to contact the person who provided the information to the control room, but that person is not answering their phone. Police inquiries at local schools revealed that no students are missing and no one has filed a missing person's report.
