Pune: Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) leader Sharad Pawar, without explicitly mentioning names, indicated that Ramraje Nimbalkar is likely to join his faction of the NCP.
While addressing a gathering in Indapur, Pawar shared that he had been invited to a similar event happening in Phaltan on October 14, reinforcing the possibility of more political alignments in his favor.
"People have already made up their minds, and my schedule is now fully booked," Pawar said, hinting at a significant influx of leaders and supporters into his faction of the party.
Ramraje Nimbalkar, who had previously aligned with Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party, might reconsider his position before the upcoming Assembly elections. A shift in Nimbalkar's allegiance could severely affect Ajit Pawar’s standing in the Phaltan region.
Pawar also reflected on former BJP leader Harshvardhan Patil's decision to join his faction, stating, "We are committed to safeguarding the interests of farmers. I used to believe that Patil had lost his way, but he has now made the right decision. Although it took him time to act, he has chosen wisely."
During the event, Jayant Patil, the state president of the NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar), officially announced Harshvardhan Patil's candidacy for the upcoming Assembly elections from Indapur.
Jayant Patil remarked, "While we don't usually announce candidacies in this manner, it is clear that the people of Indapur understand the significance of Harshvardhan Patil's leadership. His experience and vision will be invaluable to our party."
