Pune: In a unique celebration of Diwali, the Snehdeep Jankalyan Foundation held a special Bhau Beej event, distributing sarees to 200 widows, single women, and underprivileged sisters, along with new clothes for children and essential Diwali snacks supplies.

The event took place on October 24 at The Poona Merchants Chamber (Market Yard) with the support of prominent individuals and organizations in Pune.

Key guests at the event included Krishnakumar Goyal, Director of Kohinoor Development Corporation; Raikumar Nahar, President of the Poona Merchants Chamber; Dr. Prakash Bhandari, President of Snehdeep Jankalyan Foundation; and Praveen Bhandari, President of Sai Seva Sangh.

Goyal expressed his appreciation for the foundation’s work, wishing them well in their continued efforts and offering blessings to all project beneficiaries.

The Snehdeep Jankalyan Foundation has been working under Dr. Prakash Bhandari’s guidance for 38 years, with a mission to uplift children, youth, and women through healthcare, education, and social development initiatives.

The foundation appealed to the public to support their mission through physical, mental, and financial contributions.

The Poona Merchants Chamber began its annual sale of Laddu and Chivda at affordable prices to make Diwali celebrations sweeter for everyone.

The initiative, which aims to make festive treats accessible to the underprivileged, will commence on Thursday, October 24, with the prices witnessing a modest increase of ₹20 per kilogram compared to last year.
