South African pacer Chris Morris created history on Thursday by the most expensive player in the Indian Premier League’s history.
After intense bidding, Rajasthan Player managed to buy Chris Morris for Rs 16.25 crore.
Mumbai and Bangalore started the bidding war for Morris. However, Punjab and Rajasthan also entered into the fray. In the end, Punjab bowed out of the bidding race, with Rajasthan making him the most expensive buy in the history of IPL.

The South African pacer was released by Bangalore last year in the off-season.
Meanwhile, the IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel in the opening speech confirmed that Vivo has returned as title sponsor for the cricket festival this year after staying away last year. "Vivo is back as the sponsor this year," Patel said before the auction.
