Pune: Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will start accepting online applications for the upcoming 10th-grade (SSC) exams from Monday (October 7).
These exams are scheduled for February-March next year. The board has made it mandatory for all regular students to submit their exam applications through their respective school principals via the SARAL database.
In addition to regular students, the board has outlined specific guidelines for other categories of students, including those appearing for re-exams, private students who have received their registration certificates, and students under the grade improvement scheme.
These students, along with those opting for selective subjects or Industrial Training Institute (ITI) courses through the credit transfer scheme, will need to submit their forms through the official website ‘www.mahahsscboard.in’. School principals will assist them in the online submission process.
The deadline for submitting forms with the regular exam fee is November 5. The MSBSHSE has emphasized that before schools start filling out student forms, they must ensure their school profiles, which include details about the school, recognized subjects, and faculty members, are accurately updated and submitted to the board.
To ensure accuracy, once all forms are submitted, the board will release a pre-list via each school's login portal. This pre-list will provide a comprehensive record of the information submitted by students.
Schools are required to print this list and cross-verify all details against the general register. After verification, students will need to sign the pre-list to confirm the correctness of the information.
Additionally, principals must sign and stamp each page as part of the verification process, according to the instructions provided by Anuradha Oak, Secretary of the Maharashtra State Board.
For regular students, the SARAL database will be the primary method for submitting applications. However, re-exam candidates, private students, and those choosing selective subjects or pursuing the credit transfer option through ITI programs are not listed in the SARAL database.
As a result, they will need to follow a different online application process via the official website during the dates specified by the board.
Students participating in the Skill Bridge program and seeking credit transfers must also submit their applications online and ensure that the credit transfer option is marked against the relevant subjects.
Additionally, these students are required to submit hard copies of their application forms, along with any necessary documentation, to the respective regional board office.
