Pune: Following the Lok Sabha elections, Baramati MP Supriya Sule visited Ajit Pawar's residence in Katewadi, sparking political discussions. Supriya Sule and Yugendra Pawar met with Ajit Pawar's wife but did not meet Ajit Pawar himself, as confirmed by Supriya Sule.
After visiting Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi, Supriya Sule headed to Ajit Pawar's residence in Katewadi. This visit follows a similar one on the election day when Supriya Sule went to Ajit Pawar's residence but missed meeting him.
Meanwhile, the NCP's dispute hearing in the Supreme Court is set to begin on July 16. This hearing concerns the Election Commission's decision to allocate the party symbol to Ajit Pawar, a decision contested by Sharad Pawar in the Supreme Court.
With the hearing scheduled post-Lok Sabha elections, it has garnered significant attention from leaders of both factions and the entire state of Maharashtra.
On Saturday, July 6, when the Sant Tukaram Palkhi procession reached Baramati, Supriya Sule and Sunetra Pawar attended the evening aarti occurred at Sharda Prangan. Pratibha Pawar, wife of Sharad Pawar, also attended the ceremony for the first time.
Upon arrival, Sunetra Pawar stood near the palkhi placement area and remained there. When the aarti was about to begin, Sunetra Pawar invited Supriya Sule to come down and lead the ritual. Observing the dense crowd below, Supriya Sule suggested that Sunetra Pawar perform the aarti instead. Sunetra Pawar graciously accepted and conducted the aarti.
In Baramati, Supriya Sule faced a high-stakes contest against Sunetra Pawar, emerging victorious while Sunetra faced defeat. Sule triumphed by a margin of 1,58,333 votes over Sunetra Pawar. Subsequently, the Ajit Pawar faction nominated Sunetra Pawar to the Rajya Sabha.
