Vidyasagar Selvaraj Singaram, 37, lodged a complaint at the Lashkar police station, stating that he was summoned by Agarwal after a cheque issued by Singaram’s company bounced.

During the meeting, Agarwal initially asked Singaram to take back the dishonored cheque but later claimed that the original cheque could not be located. Following this, Singaram informed his company's directors, who advised him to obtain a written explanation from Agarwal regarding the missing cheque.

Complying with the instructions, Singaram managed to get a written statement from Agarwal, assuring that the cheque would be returned once found and not misused.
