According to the information provided by the Walchandnagar police, Ramesh Kekane is a police constable who legally possesses a licensed revolver.

Three years ago, Ramesh, along with his sons Parth and Atharva, visited his in-laws in the village of Kalas. During this visit, Ramesh handed over the licensed revolver to his son Parth.

Parth then fired the revolver into the air in a populated area. The incident was recorded on a mobile phone by his elder brother, Atharva. The video of the firing was later uploaded to social media, where it went viral. This act was carried out illegally, without authorization, and negligently, violating the conditions of the firearm license.

As a result of giving the revolver to Parth, which posed a threat to public safety and personal security, the Walchandnagar police have registered charges under the Arms Act and other relevant sections.
