Pune: The Social Welfare Department is set to appoint transgender individuals as brand ambassadors to promote various schemes for the underprivileged and transgender communities.

Assistant Commissioner of Social Welfare, Vishal Londhe, announced this initiative.

Transgender individuals interested in becoming brand ambassadors should submit their personal information, photographs, acting videos, and necessary documents to the Social Welfare Office in Yerawada by July 26.

The goal of this initiative is to effectively utilize social media platforms such as reels, shorts, photos, and videos to spread awareness about the Social Welfare Department's various schemes. This campaign aims to ensure these welfare programs reach the intended beneficiaries.

"We invite transgender individuals to apply by submitting their applications to the Social Welfare Office in Yerwada," said Vishal Londhe, Assistant Commissioner of the Social Welfare Department.
