Pune: In a testament to perseverance and determination, Rishikesh Rajendra Kondke, hailing from a tribal family in Ingawali (Bhor Taluka), has successfully secured a position in the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) in Pune.
Rishikesh, the son of Rajendra Kondke, a mason, and Sitabai Kondke, a daily wage laborer, comes from a modest background. His parents, both educated only up to the seventh grade, struggled to make ends meet, leaving Rishikesh with limited opportunities. However, driven by a strong desire to serve in the police force, he was determined to overcome these obstacles.
After completing his 12th-grade education, Rishikesh joined the Home Guard due to financial constraints. He served as a Home Guard under the Bhor and Rajgad (Nasrapur) Police Stations for three years. During this period, he rigorously prepared for the police recruitment exam, practicing daily and studying in his village, Ingawali.
Rishikesh’s efforts were supported by his maternal uncle, Dattatraya Dhanawale, President of the Mahadev Koli Samaj in Bhor Taluka, as well as his parents. Despite their financial limitations, the family remained steadfast in their encouragement, and their support played a crucial role in his journey.
Rishikesh succeeded in clearing the police recruitment exam, culminating in his appointment to the SRPF in Pune. Rishikesh’s success story has sparked widespread celebrations in Ingawali and surrounding areas.
His appointment is seen as a source of pride, not just for his family but for the entire community, which views his achievement as a victory over systemic challenges and financial adversity.
