Tulshibaug Ganpati Trust Honors Women's Contributions with 'Stree Shakti Sanman'

Pune: The Tulshibaug Sarvajanik Ganpati Utsav Trust celebrated the empowerment and achievements of women through its special Tulshibaug Stree Shakti Sanman program, held as part of the ongoing Ganeshotsav festivities.

The event recognized distinguished women from various walks of life for their exceptional contributions to society.

The ceremony took place at the Tulshibaug Ganpati Pandal, with the prestigious honors being conferred by Member of Parliament Medha Kulkarni.

Honorees included prominent women such as Manjushree Khardekar, Senior Police Inspector Vijaymala Pawar, Leena Mehendale, Aparna Apte, Prachi Mahadkar Agarwal, and Rinkle Gaikwad. Each awardee received a certificate of appreciation, a shawl, a coconut, and an idol of the revered Tulshibaug Ganpati.

MP Medha Kulkarni praised the honorees for their dedication and hard work in their respective fields. She remarked, "Women have continuously proven their abilities through perseverance and dedication in every sector, whether it's politics, government, or social work.

Their contributions are making a significant impact, and the Tulshibaug Public Ganpati Trust has consistently upheld its tradition of social responsibility by hosting initiatives like this."

Social activist Neelima Shitole, speaking at the event, applauded the recognition of women, saying, "Tulshibaug Ganpati is central to Pune's Ganeshotsav, and it is women who are at the forefront of preserving cultural values and ensuring the continuation of our rich heritage. Their recognition today is truly praiseworthy."

Trust Treasurer Nitin Pandit also spoke on the unique connection between Tulshibaug and women, explaining, "The 'One Day for Women' initiative within the Ganeshotsav is a special day when all the festival's management is handled entirely by female members of the trust. This event was organized to celebrate and honor their strength and contributions."
