Pune: Addressing the issue of caste-based discrimination in society, RSS Chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat stated that untouchability has no place in our scriptures, questioning the reasons behind its existence in society. He highlighted that India, a land deeply rooted in Vedic traditions, is enriched by diverse languages and worship practices.
Despite these differences, Dr. Bhagwat asserted that all individuals are inherently connected, representing a unified expression of one truth. He emphasized that India's national ethos is fundamentally about bringing happiness to the entire world.
Dr. Bhagwat delivered these remarks at the 'Ved Sevak Sanman Ceremony' held at Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir, an event organized by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and Shri Sadguru Group.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Swami Govinddev Giri Maharaj, Treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust; Champat Rai Bansal; Dr. Hanmantrao Gaikwad, founder of Bharat Vikas Group; industrialist Abhijit Pawar; and Yashwant Kulkarni, founder and chairman of Sadguru Group.
Dr. Bhagwat emphasized the need for preserving traditional Vedic knowledge and ensuring its relevance in contemporary society by making it accessible to the general public. He observed that societal apathy has been on the rise and warned against external forces that sow discord and exploit conflicts for personal gains. According to Dr. Bhagwat, India must respond to these challenges through its profound knowledge.
He urged the audience to awaken their self-awareness and uphold both traditional values and constitutional discipline as a means of countering these divisive forces. Swami Govinddev Giri also addressed the gathering, sharing his insights, while Yashwant Kulkarni delivered the introductory remarks.
