Pune: An old video of Manorama Khedkar, mother of IAS Puja Khedkar, engaging in a heated argument with Pune Police and Pune Metro workers has now resurfaced. This video, recorded by a police officer as evidence in 2022, is now viral on social media platforms.
In the video, Manorama Khedkar can be seen shouting aggressively at police officers. Despite their attempts to calm her down, she remained defiant. The video indicates that the incident took place at night, with hundreds of bystanders present on the street.
Following the emergence of Puja Khedkar's alleged UPSC scam, various misdeeds involving Manorama Khedkar have also come to light. In the Mulshi video, Manorama Khedkar is seen brandishing a pistol and intimidating citizens in Dhadwali village in Mulshi taluka.
The Khedkar family had acquired 25 acres of land in the village, and it is alleged they attempted to seize neighboring land as well. When local farmers resisted this land-grabbing attempt, Manorama Khedkar reportedly arrived with bouncers and threatened them with a pistol.
The farmers tried to file a complaint at the Paud police station, but initial reports suggest the complaint was not registered due to external pressure, raising questions about who might be backing the Khedkar family.
Charges have been filed against her in connection with this incident, and the police are conducting further investigations.
Manorama Khedkar had also threatened Chatuhshrungi traffic police officers on Thursday (July 11) who had been to Khedkar residence to take action against usage of unauthorized beacon on a private Audi car.
"If you try to enter the gate, I will put all of you in jail," Manorama had said angrily. Various media representatives were also present at the scene, This led to an argument between the police and Puja’s family over the proceedings.
Puja Khedkar, an IAS trainee, is accused of several serious misconducts. While posted in Pune, she allegedly seized the office of her senior, used a private car with a red beacon, and engaged in malpractices during the UPSC exam.
Furthermore, she is accused of using a false disability certificate and altering her name to bypass the age limit for the exam.
