Pune: A farmer from Ranjangaon has filed a complaint against a builder for allegedly 'threatening' and pointing a 'pistol-shape lighter' at him for demanding balance payment related to the farm land deal. Video footage of the builder pointing the gun at the farmer has gone viral on social media.

The builder in question has been identified as Prabhakar Bhosale. The incident revolves around a piece of land in Ranjangaon that Bhosale had purchased from a farmer.

According to police, Mangesh Shivaji Panchmukh, a 34-year-old driver residing in Ranjangaon Ganpati, had filed a complaint against Prabhakar Pandurang Bhosale, Deepak Rajkumar Panchmukh, Sachin Bhalchandra Panchmukh, and Kiran Ashok Panchmukh on April 3, 2023.

According to the complaint, Deepak, Sachin, and Kiran forcibly took Mangesh from Ranjangaon to Prabhakar Bhosale's office in Vishrantwadi, where Prabhakar Bhosale allegedly threatened him with a pistol. The complaint also included a video of the incident, provided to the police on a pen drive.

Mangesh Panchmukh had sold his land in Ranjangaon Ganpati to Prabhakar Bhosale, and all transactions related to the sale were completed.

Additionally, Mangesh had assisted Bhosale in other land dealings. As a gesture of gratitude, Bhosale had agreed to give Mangesh six lakh rupees to build a house. However, Bhosale delayed giving the remaining amount after initially providing two lakh rupees, leading Mangesh to demolish his existing house and start construction with the initial funds.

Due to the delay in receiving the remaining amount and the resulting inconvenience, Mangesh repeatedly contacted Bhosale for the rest of the money. When Bhosale continued to delay, Mangesh filed the complaint.

The investigation revealed that the alleged pistol in the video was actually a lighter, and Mangesh was aware of this. He filed the complaint with the intention of obtaining the promised money for house construction.

On April 26, 2023, Mangesh Panchmukh provided a detailed statement to the police, stating that there was no longer any dispute between him and more. Both parties submitted written statements to this effect, and the complaint was filed on April 27, 2023.

Prabhakar Bhosale handed over the lighter to the police in Mangesh's presence, confirming it was the same object shown in the video.
