Pune: A serious incident of physical assault occurred in Punjab National Bank's Wakad branch on the afternoon of September 21, where a disagreement between customers and the bank manager escalated into violence.

The altercation began when the bank manager, Mohammad Raza Qadri, politely asked the children accompanying a customer couple to refrain from playing on the sofa while wearing shoes.

This seemingly simple request angered the children’s parents, Kausur Sheikh and Alfiya Sheikh, leading to a violent confrontation.

According to police reports, the couple had visited the bank with their young children. While the children were playing on the sofa with their footwear on, the manager suggested they stop to maintain decorum within the bank.

Infuriated by this request, the couple lashed out at Qadri, physically attacking him with fists and kicks. The situation further deteriorated when Alfiya Sheikh contacted her relatives, calling them to the bank.

Upon their arrival, the group, consisting of Rizwan Nur Syed, Avesh Matin Khan, Sahil Jogdand, and Ayesha Arif Sheikh, proceeded to cause chaos in the bank.

The group not only threatened the bank manager, stating that they would hinder his ability to carry out his duties, but they also verbally abused and physically assaulted other employees, including female staff members.
