Yogesh’s father, Anil Tanhu Dhamunse, affected by the Nira Devghar dam project and currently sustaining the family through farming, studied only up to the seventh grade. His mother, Bhimabai, is illiterate.

Despite these challenges, his parents toiled in the fields to support his education. Yogesh, driven by his dream of joining the police force, achieved this feat through grit and relentless effort.

The joy of his parents was evident as they shed tears of happiness, while the villagers celebrated the success of their local hero.

He graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Anantrao Thopte College.

While living in Pune, Yogesh taught law students to cover his expenses and prepared for competitive exams, scoring 336 marks and ranking 64th in the open category of the MPSC exams.

Yogesh received support from his uncles, Dnyanoba, Suresh, and Bhaguji Dhamunse, as well as his family, villagers, and friends. His sister is married, and his younger brother Tushar is highly educated.

Yogesh was honored by his friends in Pune, and his achievement is being celebrated in Hirdoshi. The villagers and the Hirdas Maval community will take out a procession on Sunday (4th) to welcome him.

"With concentration, consistency, and determination, success is guaranteed. Children from rural areas should take full advantage of education and strive to succeed in various fields, thereby enhancing the reputation of their family and village," said Yogesh Dhamunse.
