Young Man Brutally Murdered in Uttam Nagar; Accused Arrested

Pune: In a shocking incident in Uttamnagar’s Mase Ali area, a 22-year-old man, Jaideep Dnyaneshwar Bhondekar, was brutally murdered on Sunday (September 8) afternoon.

The accused, Amit Sudam Gujar (21), took Jaideep outside under the guise of helping to lift cargo and then attacked him with a sickle, causing fatal injuries. The crime occurred at around 12:30 PM.

According to the complaint filed by Laxmi Dnyaneshwar Bhondekar (age 42, resident of Gujar Complex, Uttamnagar), her son Jaideep had completed his 10th grade and was staying at home.

On Sunday afternoon, while Jaideep was asleep, Amit Gujar came to the house and asked him to come outside under the pretext of helping to lift some cargo.

Shortly after, Laxmi heard commotion and shouting outside the house. When she went outside, she was informed by locals that Amit had attacked Jaideep with a sickle.

Upon reaching the house of Rajendra Pawar in the old Mase Ali area, Laxmi found Jaideep lying in a pool of blood with the sickle that had been used in the attack lying nearby. Jaideep, still conscious, told her that Amit Gujar had struck him on the head with the sickle.

Laxmi rushed him to Sanjeevani Hospital, but due to the severity of his injuries, he was referred to another hospital. Unfortunately, Jaideep succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

The police have registered a murder case and arrested Amit Gujar. Assistant Police Inspector Chaware is leading the investigation.
