Pune: Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is collaborating with Sandip University for joint research and development projects and has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The objective of this collaboration is to jointly conduct Masters programmes in areas of advanced computing, data science, embedded design, Internet of Things (IoT) and IT network security.
C-DAC will also extend the Skill Development programmes of National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) level 7 Diploma as well as certification courses for their engineering students of IT and electronics stream.
Dr Hemant Darbari, Executive Director C-DAC Pune, commented that C-DAC has always favoured the strengthening of industry-academic interactions on a long-term basis to raise the bar of technical research in the academic sector.
"We are confident that this collaboration will assist the students in assimilating the best of experience from our R&D labs, as well as guide them in taking up equally challenging subjects in their research pursuits. It will be a transformational change for the future of research in our country," said Darbari.
Sanjeev Sharma of Sandip University coordinated the collaboration activity along with the ST Gandhi from Sandip University who has actively spearheaded this initiative. DD Deshmukh, Registrar Sandip University signed the MoU in presence of Dr Sandip Jha, Chairman Sandip Foundation.
On behalf of C-DAC, Dr Hemant Darbari, Executive Director C-DAC, Pune signed the MoU in the presence of Mita Karajagi, Head of Department, Advanced Computing Training School (ACTS), RY Deshpande, Director Admin and Legal and Head Administration, Rai Varghese, Joint Director HRD, Vineeta Tiwari, Principal Technical Officer, ACTS and Parimal Wagh, Senior Admin Officer, ACTS.
