Gangster Gajanan Marne booked for taking out procession on Pune-Mumbai Expressway after release from jail

Pune: Talegaon Dabhade police have booked gangster Gajanan Marne on charges of taking out procession on the Pune-Mumbai expressway after his release from Taloja jail on Monday (February 15) night at around 8.30 pm. Police have seized a drone camera worth Rs 15,000 used for the videographing of the procession.

The gangster and his accomplices had also recorded this procession with the help of a drone camera. The procession was carried out for almost 120 kilometres distance in which a convoy of 300 cars was seen in the video which has gone viral on social media platforms.

Police Naik Navnath Dhaygude posted at the Shirgaon police chowky under Talegaon Dabhade police station has registered the FIR against Marne and his accomplices. The FIR has been registered on Tuesday (February 16) early morning at around 2 am.

The suspects have been booked under sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), 143 (punishment for unlawful assembly), 283 (causing danger, obstruction or injury to any person in any public way or public line of navigation) and sections 37(1) (prohibiting certain acts for prevention of disorder), 135 (penalty for contravention of rules or directions under sections 37, 39 or 40) of the Maharashtra Police Act and section 7 (Molesting a person to prejudice of employment or business) of the Criminal Law Amendment Act.

According to the complaint, the suspects tried to terrorize people and obstructed the public line of navigation by assembling unlawfully, bursting crackers and videographing the entire procession.
