Maharashtra: Private university association to conduct CET-20 on these dates

Pune: The Association of Private University PERA (Preeminent Education and Research Association), has declared its plan to conduct Common Entrance Test (PERA CET-20) for various professional courses in the private universities, claimed professor and Dr Mangesh Karad.

As on Wednesday, the 19 Private universities have been approved by the government of Maharashtra and they have started their operation. As per the act of private universities, they can enrol students for various professional courses on the basis of CET conducted by their association, in addition to CET conducted by government agencies.

"This year due to COVID-19 MH-CET is postponed and JEE CET is rescheduled for 6th September 2020. Hence, to speed up the admission process, PERA has decided to hold PERA CET-20 on July 31 and August 1 and 2, this year. Result of which shall be declared by August 5 2020. And on the basis of PERA CET, they can apply for private state universities and take admission." said Prof Dr Mangesh Karad, President of PERA India and Executive president and Vice-chancellor of MIT-Arts, Design and Technology University, said

The PERA CET examination will be conducted through an online proctored mode system. The last date of PERA CET exam online registration is July 28, 2020. Before that on July 26-27, PERA will conduct a mock exam for understanding the online systems.

PERA CET will be conducting examinations on 31st July, 1st august & 2 august in multiple slots. The candidates can appear for the PERA CET exam from their home place without thronging outside. Candidates are advised to keep a check on the official website of www.peraindia.in regularly, to get the latest updates on the exams, further added Dr Mangesh Karad.
