Pune: Members of Maharashtra Rickshaw Panchayat have raised a protest against the bandh called by Rickshaw Panchayat, on October 1 in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
Speaking to Sakal Times, the Maharashtra Rickshaw Panchayat President Baba Kamble clarified that there will be a 'yelling' agitation in Maharashtra on September 30 and no one would participate in the bandh called by the rickshaw panchayat.
Baba Kamble also said, "We will not participate in this bandh. We are going to hold a yelling agitation on September 30. We are against the strike called by the rickshaw panchayat in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad."
"Right now, every business is hoping to restart, amid that calling for a bandh is very wrong. The rickshaw driver is already in trouble. We are pushing rickshaw drivers further into financial stresses by taking such actions. This is the wrong role of rickshaw panchayat. We are against this bandh. No one will participate in it," he added.
