Dean Jones dies at 59: Cricket fraternity mourns loss

Former Australia cricketer turned commentator Dean Jones died of a cardiac arrest on Thursday in Mumbai. The 59-year-old was in Mumbai as a member of commentary panel for Star Sports for the Indian Premier League.

Popularly known as "Professor Deano", he played 52 Tests and 164 ODIs for Australia for span of eight years between 1984 and 1992. He managed to score 3631 runs in Test cricket at an average of 46.55 with 11 hundreds and 14 half-centuries. The cricket fraternity mourned the sudden demise of Jones terming it a huge loss for the game of cricket.
