IPL 2021 Auction: Purse and slots remaining for each team

A total of 164 Indian players, 125 overseas players, and 3 players from Associate Nations are slated to go under the hammer in IPL 2021 auction.

The IPL 2021 auction is all set to take place on Thursday from 3 PM onwards in Chennai. A total of 164 Indian players, 125 overseas players, and 3 players from Associate Nations are slated to go under the hammer as all the eight franchises will be looking to fill the remaining places in their squad.

Punjab Kings, who recently renamed its franchise to add a fresh look, has the highest biggest purse of Rs 53.20 crore while Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are left with the minimum purse amount. Royal Challengers Bangalore has the most number – 11 - slots to be fill.

Among Indian players, former CSK players Harbhajan Singh and Kedhar Jadhav have put their base price at Rs 2 crore. While Hanuma Vihari along with Umesh Yadav has registered for Rs 1 crore, Indian test team number three Cheteshwar Pujara has put a base price of Rs 50 lakh.

Among International players – Steven Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Colin Ingram, Mark Wood, Shakib Al Hasan, Jason Roy, Liam Plunkett, and Moeen Ali have registered for a base price of Rs 2 crore.

World’s top-ranked T20 batsman David Malan has set his base price at Rs 1.5 crore. as have Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Alex Carey, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Jhye Richardson, Mitchell Swepson, Tom Curran, Lewis Gregory, Alex Hales, Adam Lyth, Adil Rashid, and David Willey.

Australian ODI and T20 team captain Aaron Finch and his teammate Marnus Labuschagne have registered for a base price of Rs 1 crore.
