SSPMS Day gets past Apte Prashala in Rd 3

Pune: SSPMS Day School defeated Apte Prashala 2-0 in Round 3 of the Under-17 category of the Inter-School Football tournament being played at SSPMS Ground here on Sunday.

Prathamesh Karande scored the first for SSPMS in the 8th minute while Siddharth Bhurte scored the second in the 13th minute.

St Patrick’s High School had an easy outing as they got past Panditrao Agashe Prashala 3-0.

Austin Mathew scored the first goal in the 8th minute while Joseph Yadav scored the second in the 11th minute. Joesh Emarpu added one in the 18th minute as St Patrick’s won with ease.

In another match, New English School, Ramanbaug defeated Abhinav English Medium School 1-0 with Siddharth Pimple scoring the lone goal in the 18th minute.

Meanwhile, Hutchings High School defeated SPM English Medium School 5-0 to enter Round 4. Aditya Bengeri from Hutchings scored a brace in the 4th and 8th minutes while Sahil Bhatia struck in the 11th minute. Aabhar Dutta (18th) and Aryan Tikone (20th) scored one goal each to help Hutchings advance further.

St Thomas Public School got past Mansukhbhai Kothari National School 2-1. Yash Ganbhare from St Thomas scored twice in the 7th and 18th minutes while Aditya Mehta scored one for Mansukhbhai Kothari.
