Pune: This Sunday’s SA Poonawalla Million Grade 3 race will witness six of the top rated horses vying for the trophy.
SK Sunderji-trained Trouvaille to be ridden by CS Jodha should score in the SA Poonawalla Million. This is a terms race—Terms, Indian Horses 3-year-old only—is to be run over a distance of 1600 metres.
The Million race is sponsored by the Poonawalla Group by Dr Cyrus and Zavaray Poonawalla in memory of their father Soli A Poonawalla.
Trouvaille is by Surfrider-Highly Fashionable and is owned by Rajesh Monga.
Three horses fancied on the day are Barack (2-5), Questina (5-6) and King Khalil (4-5).
Villoo C Poonawalla Million
This Million is dedicated to an ardent horse lover and philanthropist Villoo C. Poonawalla.
This trophy was dedicated by her husband Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla, the ex-Chariman of RWITC and founder and chairman of the Serum Institute of India,
Questina may score in Villoo Poonawalla Million
Seasoned performer Questina, trained by Imtiaz A Sait looks to run with a good chance of winning the Villoo C. Poonawalla Million—a terms race for maiden Indian Horses 3-year-old only.
Questina ran reasonably well in first outing here and now she takes on a relatively modest opposition and as such, she should have a
bold show.
Enid Blyton favourite for Rao Saheb Kedari Gold Trophy
The third feature race on Sunday will be Rao Saheb Kedari Gold Trophy dedicated in memory of philanthropist Rao Saheb Kedari, who was a conscientious and dedicated social worker and was Pune suburban Councillor and was instrumental in the development of Pune city.
Altamaash Ahmed-trained Enid Blyton with Neeraj Rawal on the back is tipped to win the 1200m race.
Enid Blyton is daughter of The Showcasing and Passing Hour (USA) and looks improved after her recent run.
